However, I kept hearing people talking about the last 20-25 minutes, how crazy it was and how it made the movie worth watching. Now, when I first heard about this movie and watched the trailer, I was pretty underwhelmed. * Evidence ( 2011) - A bunch of friends go into the woods to document one of the main characters' first time camping in the wild and come across some weird stuff. I think it's best you go into it fresh, not knowing too much about it. Kind of like Curse of the Blair Witch, actually.) * Noroi: The Curse ( 2005) - A japanese filmmaker notices a pattern between a few supposedly unrelated paranormal events and begins to document it. Ed Sánchez and Dan Myrick originally planned for most of the movie to be interviews with certain people (professors, police officers, etc.) with the occasional showing of the footage the students shot. ( Little trivial tidbit: What many people might not realize is that The Last Broadcast is exactly how The Blair Witch Project was initally conceived: a documentary mixed with found footage shot by the victims. My only advice, if you plan on watching it, is: Beware of the ending. The whole story behind the murders is pretty engaging and will keep you guessing. It's pretty well made taking into account how it was made and the budget they had. They came out like one year apart, more or less. Interestingly enough, this is a lot like The Blair Witch Project, both in style and story. Okay, here's what I recommend: * The Last Broadcast ( 1998) - A documentary about a murder case that revolves around a couple of people from a public TV station going into the woods to investigate the Jersey Devil legend in the Pine Barrens.
